Hello. This message is not spam. I am truly doing a research about CMC (computer mediated communication). It will be great if you could spend a couple of minutes and write a few lines (5-8-sentences) on the topic:
"When I think about a computer, I imagine myself.....

Please state your age: 1. from 10 to 20 years old; 2. from 21-30 ; 3. from 31-40 4. from 41 ? 50 5. from 51 ? 60 6. from 61 -?.?.?.

Thank you very much in advance. I will compare your answers with those of Russian users and tell my students about the results (I work in Astrakhan Pedagogical University as a doctor of philology).

I'm not sure your English is advanced enough to make that statement the way you intended. But, for the record, I don't imagine myself as or doing anything when I think about a computer. When I think about a computer I imagine... a computer. Motherboard, RAM, processor, hard drive, etc. I'm 23.

...when i was a young growing up in Louisiana before i ever heard about such things as computers. I imagine what it would be like to go back to those times when all the frustrations, aggrivations, and stress related to "technology" did not exist. I think about the times when I had to solve problems like how to get to the other side of the creek without getting wet or how to run across a gravel road without getting cuts on the bottom of my bare feet. I think about how all this computer technology would help to solve these problems and i conclude that it hasn't. I wish for a simpler life where things are peaceful and the only noise you could here were the birds, the crickets, and an occasional bellow from a cow. I think about how florescent lights, monitors, HVAC systems, phones, car horns, obnoxiously loud car stereos, huge parking lots, and high fuel prices must be a part of this technology explosion that causes stress, high blood pressure, anxiety, confusion, depression and overall discontentment.

i don't get it, i don't think about computers like that and i don't sit around imagining things. is this some lame assignment from a college class? what is the point? how will this make a corporation more money??
