No, stealing $46 worth of merchandise isn't "prison worthy," but he got a gentle slap on the wrist for something that would probably have sent a "normal" person to jail...and, OMG! can you imagine if it was a black person?

Quick Google search says for shoplifting up to $100 if this was the first offense it could be up to 60 days in jail. Second offense is up to 1 year in jail.

the dispensation of "justice" is veeeeerrrrrrrry different when you're white and when you're not.
