Is there anything special I need to do to not show up Inactive on the Seti stats list? Do I need to use a proxy to register WUs completed correctly?

PFunk is my name, 815 in the list.

Pfunk: Your crunching with the same email address you used for that SETI account right? Smokeballs stats are usually right on with the numbers coming from your crunchers. (At least mine)

Welcome to the AT DC forum PFunk00!

To not be inactive, you need to start sending in wu again, so you gotto setup the client again like here and get crunching!

That's kewl... I did that. I'm sure in a couple hours when my WUs start transmitting, I'll be changed to active. I'll watch it. Look forward to crunching.

If you do not send in a WU for a week you revert to inactive .... his system ONLY update once an hour ... so in theory you can upload a WU and have to wait a hour before you see it as being posted ...

current example my name is Doc Brown (256) the system shows me with 2544 WU ... If I check on the Seti page under my e-mail address I actually have 8551 units ... and it will be another 24 minutes before those WU show up ....

I hope that this message makes everything as clear as MUD ...

I seem to remember that when I first attempted to log on ... Smoke said that if you go inactive your stats the system basically ignores you until its midnight roll-over routine then it wll see that you did something and re-activate your status and then keep track of you and your WU ...

remember that I am OLD and the eyes are the first to go ... and they have been gone for years ... SO I might be spoon feeding you a line of @hit ... but I thinks my memory is still OK .... Keep your fingers crossed .. M<ark....

HEllo All! ....yes, believe it or not, I have been reading AnandTech for over 6 years, joined about a year ago, and now am posting for the first time!

Well, I also joined TeamAnandTech a while back and I am just now going to start cranking out the folding on FAH.

My question is, if I start folding and become active, will the password server activate so I can get my password emailed to me? I kept getting 'The password mailer has been temporarily disabled.'

You may want to start a new thread to get the F@Hmembersto answer your question. Start the title with F@H in it, like "F@H: How do i..."
