Weird

I was jus sitting here (still thinking bout the poor puppies ) and its storming outside, not raining yet just thunder/lighting and i'm on the net but somehow my phone ringed like half of one ring and that was it. What happened? did lighting just try to zap my puter?

i'm on the net.........one phone line..they should get a busy signal and i should not hear a ring....

It was your computer calling you to tell you to turn him off, he is scared of lightning. And with good reason.
