I just noticed that the "My Computer" icon on my desktop changed to a different icon. It is still a picture of a computer with a monitor, but it is definately a different picture (it looks different). Is this typical for Windows XP Pro to change the icon or what would cause this change? I was just wondering if it could be some sort of virus or something. Let me know what you think.
 
No, but i just installed some pug-ins for winamp. Some of which may have been running in 16-bit color. What should I do, since my desktop is running at 32-bit color?
 
I also forgot to add that it is only the "My Computer" icon that is messed up, the rest of the icons are normal looking (like the recycling bin and the my network places icons are fine)............???
