I just formatted someone's PC because it had vista on it so I put XP on instead, and there was a HP recovery partition and decided to leave it just in case. Everything went smooth and it's good to go. I then decided to resize the recovery partition so I could fit an acronis image of the XP install on it. For w/e reason the XP install somehow ended up inside the extended partition, so now it wont boot. How would I go about moving it out of the extended partition? I'm using gparted.
I'm thinking as a "hack" I can just make a new primary partition and install grub on it, but that is kinda dirty.
