Well, I'm lost now. I tried everything that came to mind with to no avail. I'm trying to set up a fileserver which consists of the following:
hp i810 motherboard
celeron 900
128mb ram
64mb ram
wd 1000jb se hard drive
onboard video/audio
liteon 48x cdrom
Whenever I try to boot from the cd, it starts going and gets past the first couple items (i.e. "press f6 if you need to install a third party driver blah blah", "press f2 to run automatic recovery system blah blah"), but then I get the following error:
An unexpected error (20027645) occurred at line 1768 in d:\xpclient\base\boot\setup\arcdisp.c.
Press any key to continue.
Pressing a button just restarts the computer. I doubt it's the disc because I just used it the other day and it worked fine. It's not the cd drive because I tested two different cd drives that function otherwise. It's not the hard drive because I disconnected it before doing this just to make sure. It's not the data cables because I switched those as well. I have no idea wtf this is. Anyone know?
I swear this past week computer hardware just won't stop crapping out on me. I'm about ready to go postal. :|:|
