yet another problem i am facing with windows vista i moved from windows xp to vista , now as everyone ever worked on windows OS knows that the connection icon right bottom side of the screen on the task bar flashes and shows activity when there is a connection i tried and enabled my connection activity animation for that connection but there is nothing it's still the same ( shows only two monitors and something like a little planet on top ) but no animation is there any way to fix this ?

another question :
i went through many forums trying to find away to make a connection shortcut some say that you can make a shortcut to the connection by dragging the connection icon from the "connection and sharing center" to the Desktop , well i tried that too and it didn't work the icon doesn't even move , if anyone can help me with these two issues i will appreciate it .

Welcome to the Forums :) We have an Operating Systems forum which is the intended location for OS topics, so I'm moving this thread to Operating Systems from Windows/PC Software (which is for software applications instead of OSes). Enjoy the Forums. :)

Regarding the first issue, try right-clicking the icon with the planet and the right-click menu will have an option to turn on activity animation.

For the second issue, once you're viewing the Network And Sharing Center, click "Manage Network Connections" and a new panel opens (Control Panel > Network Connections). Right-click the desired network connection in this panel and choose "Create Shortcut."
