I forget why or how, but I accidentally lost one of my IE shortcuts in the Start menu. No big deal, I just created another link and dropped it in. I then right-clicked it and pinned it to the taskbar. The first odd thing is that this pinned IE is not recognized as IE properly, that is, when I pull up its jump list, it doesn't show frequent sites or anything. Then, when I used that pinned icon to open it, it actually adds another IE icon to the taskbar, and that one has all the proper jump list items. So I go ahead and pin that one, and remove the original one. This is really no big deal, but definitely incorrect behavior, as no other apps do this (any other app, you can pin it from anywhere, shortcut, original .exe., etc., and the pinned icon will have the proper jump list). The only actual ill effect of this is that because I unpinned my original shortcut, I can now see IE in both the Start menu frequently used list and the taskbar, which isn't supposed to happen.
