Weird Windows 2000 mouse problems

okay,
If I press 2 mouse buttons at the same time, nothing happens, this is very annoying in games like quake 3 where on my Logitech Wingman I have Fire as Button 1 and Jump as button 2, now for anyone who plays quake probably knows what a rocket jump is, well I cant do this anymore nor can I run/jump/fire at the same time. This affects other games as well where I have to take advantage of more then 1 button at the same time on the mouse. I have tried 3 different kinds of mice, 2 logitech's and a microsoft. I have tried uninstalling the the logitech drivers, I have tried increasing the buffer memory for the mouse and other numerous tweeks that I cannot remember. The only IRQ im sharing is IRQ 7, my Sound Blaster Live and my USB universal controller (which currently nothing is hooked up to). I have also tried both USB and PS2 as well. This problem does not manifest within Windows98se. I have win2k(sp1) and all the latest updates installed, this is on a fresh install of maybe one week. Strange problem but if anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
