i just noticed this the other day,in windows explorer i can not make new folders,in any dir.theres no new folder option in the menu or when i right click in a dir.i have win98se,two hard drives in fat32,one maxtor and one western digital,in c:\ and d:\

Thanks for that great bit of advice! Not everyone can afford to upgrade to a new operating system. Some of us actually pay for our copies of our OS.

As for the original poster's question, try opening up a command prompt and use the MD command. See if you can create one then. Chances are your registry key that has the command for your context menu are fubared.
