Weird whining sound on the xfx 8800gt 512 card with "3d things" on the screen.

Ok, so in windows, the fan is fine and dandy at 37%, when I have some action going on such as a game or something it goes to 57%. This is normal but what I am hearing is this whining sound when there is 3d graphics on the screen. I thought maybe that's just how the fan sounds at higher speeds but no, I got riva tuner and set the fan speed at a fixed 37% where I hear no whining in windows and when I open up a 3d application, the whining occurs again. What could this be? Thanks

I'm getting the same thing with my GT. I also got it with my old X1800XL. Since I've had it before and had no problems I'm just gonna assume it's fine.
