Weird weightloss problem

So I'm about 2 months into a fairly aggressive (though realistic) weightloss lifestyle change. This week something really weird has happened - I'm going to the bathroom way too often. Seems like I have to "empty the stomach" everytime I eat. I think people at my job are even noticing how often I'm going.

Here's my current specs - could my decreased caloric intake have something to do with it?

Starting weight: 255 (don't laugh, i know I'm a fat ass), 6'0"
Current Weight: 230
Goal weight - 180-190
Caloric intake from start of program (end of december) to March 1st: 1600-1800 calories
Current caloric intake - 1400-1600 calories
Workout regime: Elliptical, 45 min- 1 hour x 7 times a week, weight x 3 times a week (light weights, high set out)

Any thoughts on the current routine as well?

nice, your doing well by the looks of it 😀
but i cant help with the bathroom part, i use protein drinks and they make me have gas most of the time, but that must be a run off for the great results iv had with it.

yeah, the protein shake i take does give me gas! is the increase in bathroom usage normal or a problem? my friend thinks it's my metabolism speeding up but I worry that something is up with my diet.

no when I lost 15lbs I had to crap like twice a day. Its normal keep up the good work. As for you stools if they look normal then everything is fine.

Diabetes
You go to the bathroom a lot
You pee a lot
You lose weight unusually fast

Go to your doctor to get checked for Diabetes

Are you getting more fiber in your diet? More veggies, etc..

From before my program, yes. But in the last week my diet hasn't changes (just less calories). I'm eating mostly protein with about a cup or 2 of veggies per meal.

Probably nothing to worry about yet. But if it lasts a long time you could see a doctor. They'll likely have nothing that they can do.

Many foods which are good at weight loss tend to cause this problem. Think about it, food that is in the toilet is not on your hips. Over time, your body adjusts and things should become more regular.

Not sure if this actual means anything. But I've cut out high fat foods from my diet, and my body's gotten used to it. However the rare times I eat high fat food (ie: fast food), it'll cause me to hit the can not too long after, and it really only happens with high fat food.

But yeah, I'm not sure what your meals are composed of.

It is normal to have to go after you eat. It's your body's way of making room for the new food. 😀

ha, but before i started my program i'd go like once or twice a day.. now i'm going 4 or 5 times.. i find it pretty freakin weird.

me too :Q
No biggie, I go 3 or 4 times a day on one cup of coffee in the morning.

ok, good... thanks for the assurance, i thought i was sick going to the bathroom that ofte - guess i'm just normal now!

That's really healthy actually. In a perfect world, we would be crapping 3 times a day after every meal to flush out our body.
