Weird weather in Canada

I've never seen lightening before when there is snow falling from the sky! 🙂 Gotta love Canada (Manitoba in particular)

this is from Environment Canada:
An intense storm system over Wyoming early this morning will slowly track over North Dakota today bringing a variety of significant weather to southern Manitoba. Rain and snow has spread into southern Manitoba early this morning and will continue to spread north of the transcanada this morning. As it does it will encounter colder air and precipitation will change to snow which will become heavy at times. An area of ice pellets and freezing rain is also likely especially along and south of the transcanada highway which may cause some significant icing in some areas. In addition scattered thunderstorms over North Dakota are likely to move over southern Manitoba today which may enhance local snowfall or ice accumulations.

Thundersnow...big deal? 😀 (it's actually fairly common)

I think it's the first time I've ever seen it though! Seems to be over now, but we still have snow everywhere, and it was like 25celsius over the weekend. Go figure.

never mind, the thunder and lightening are back. and it started snowing again.
