Weird !! VMWare and Windows/Word problem

Every time I install VMWare it works fine a couple of times and then some weird stuff starts to happen.
I installed the trial version 2 days ago. yesterday was working in Office XP (Host OS) and when I went to "page setup" the Word locked up on me. Tried going to the "Print" option - same thing - first I see the "busy" cursor and then the word says - "Not Reponding"
Same thing if trying to go "page setup" from notepad.
As soon as I uninstalled VMWare and rebooted - everything back to normal again
btw, just rebooting (without uninstalling vmware) does not help - tried that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
