Weird Vista Problem - Sleep Mode killed my system!

I accidentally hit the "Power" button under the start menu, which puts the PC in "sleep" mode. The problem is that it did not wake up. The whole system is now dead. It will not even boot.

What did you do to try to wake it up? If nothing works, did you try the power switch on the power supply?

I've tried about everything, short of replacing parts. I was pretty sure that resetting CMOS would work...nope. I guess I'll replace the PSU and try again.

It was the power supply. I heard a pop when it went into sleep mode. I guess it blew it out.

Put a new PSU in and it started up. Now works fine.
