Weird TV problems

I have an older CRT TV and a cable line running to it (no box). So today I switched out entertainment centers, go to plug the coaxial cable back in, and regardless of what channel I switch to, it only displays one station (MTV 2 ). All other inputs work fine, and I disconnected all of them to see if they were interfering.

Any suggestions?

Yep. The weird thing is, if I push the coaxial cable in hard enough, the proper channel displays and I can display other channels.

I'm going to run a new cable tomorrow and see if that fixes it. The current coaxial cable is extremely old and has given me problems when using the cable modem with it, so my money is that it's the coax.

I know about the problems with Sonys where they don't let you change the channel at all, volume will go up on it's own, etc. I had that problem with another Sony Wega and junked it. This one is roughly 12 years old and hasn't had a problem since the day we got it.
