I recently swapped an old HD4850 into my AMD 960T rig and put the previous HD7770 into my Intel 2500K system. I re-installed the appropriate Catalyst drivers for each one.
The AMD rig runs Windows 7 and worked perfectly with the 7770. However, with the 4850, there's a strange behaviour that didn't occur when I used this card in the past.
Specifically, when web browsing with Firefox, often some text is screwed up--missing pixels, doubled pixels, etc. It's still readable, but very strange looking--parts of some characters are heavier or lighter than they should be.
This only happens on part of the screen (different places every time) and only when a new page first loads. If I refresh the screen or scroll down and back, the text becomes normal.
The HD4850 is passively cooled by an Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev.2 and temps run about 47-49C for normal surfing, word processing, etc. Everything else seems fine--no problems with pictures, games, etc.--just the occasional text issue.
Here's a picture:

Any ideas?
