I'm running a 1700+ TBred-B on my Asus A7N8X-DLX board (1.004 UBER bios) @ 2350MHz (188*12.5) @ 1.55V and I'm getting some weird temperatures... according to MBM and the BIOS, CPU temp is around 36deg C, and the system temp is around 46deg C (it's been @ 100% load for the past 3 days). Why is the system temp so much higher than the CPU temp? Usually it should be the other way around :). Just confused...

Your CPU sensor should be set to Asus 1 and your case to Asus 2. This is the opposite of the regular A7N8X. Do you have the sensors switched?

That is really odd. Does one drop significantly when you open the case up? Unless you have good cooling I think you shouldget temp drops in your case from doing that. Is that the case with every BIOS?

yup it's the case with two different bios versions (1003 or whatever it was before i updated; 1004 normal; 1004 UBER). The HSF is a Thermalright AX-7, with a Panaflo 80mm H1A fan. The case is a Lian-Li 7323b (really nice, big case:)), with an Enermax 550W PSU exhausting above, 2 intake stock ADDA's in the front, 2 Panaflo L1A exhausts blowing out the back near the CPU, and a couple more Panaflo L1A's at the top of the case. Pretty quiet, but I thought these temperatures were weird. When I was running my old XP2000+ the case temperatures were a bit lower (of course, I was also using higher CFM fans...) but the CPU temp was higher. Maybe it's the L1A's and their lower CFM that's causing these higher case temps. Opening the case does drop the temps by a few degrees (~3-4deg C)
