I'm getting some really weird temperature readings for system. I built my computer a little over 2 months ago, I've got the LanParty UT NF3 250gb, a Athlon 64 3700+, using a Venus 12 HSF with fan speed at 5400RPM with AS5, and a Cooler Master Stacker case with 3 intake and 3 exhaust fans.
Just had a temperature jump for no reason. Ten hours ago when I had the computer on ITE Smart Guardian was reporting:
CPU: 40 - 43 idle
PWMIC: 28 - 30 idle
System: 28 - 30 idle
I shut my computer down for the time in between those ten hours and upon restarting these are the temps ITE Smart Guardian now reports:
CPU: 46 - 49 idle
PWMIC: 36 idle
System: 35 idle
I don't understand why my temps jumped. I touched the heatsink and it feels a little warm, but not to the point where I have to remove my fingers because of the heat.
My Bios has always reported CPU temp around 50C idle. Smart Guadian says 47C idle. SiSoftware Sandra reports CPU temp of 36C idle. Everest says 35C idle. Aida32 says 35C idle.
Also on Everest and AIDA32, whats AUX, it has a picture of a Monitor (Display), that reads 47C. Yet I don't know what that is.
What program or programs do I believe? Any advice.
Just noticed something too, my Air conditioning inside my house just died in the past couple hours. I'm on the 2nd floor of my house and the air conditioning was always set to keep the house at 74F, but without it I think my inside ambient temperature is about 90F. Could that be the reason my computer temperatures have jumped?
