weird speeds with SMC 54mbps...?

Hey, when I connect to my 4mbps adsl line at home with traditional cable I get the right speeds against the internet. But when I connect with my SMC 54mbps pci to my SMC 54mbps accesspoint all I i get against the internet is 2mbps and not 4mbps. Why is this? 🙂

Ps. The router and firewall function in the accesspoint is disabled.

 
Most likely unoptimized TCP/IP settings. RWIN or something along those lines. Go to speedguide.net or dslreports.com and use thier tools/utilities to find out what settings you should alter.
