Weird spasm in quadricep

I have this weird spasm in my right quadricep right above the knee. It doesn't hurt, and it's not a big spasm, just small little spasms. However, it is annoying and has been happening for about a full day now. Anyone have this happen, or know how to fix it? It's happened to me before, in various places on my body but never for this long. Anyways, I lift and run if that helps. Thanks

Errrr....gonna pass on the amputation suggestions, at least for now. I'll get back to you in a week if the problem persists.

i've had this happen. i've heard it's because of overworking and just means you need to rest more.

Is it a spasm or a twitch? If it doesn't hurt, its a twitch. I've had them before, usually when I'm tired or something, but they're harmless.

Take a shot of lite salt (potassium chloride) mixed with water. It tastes like crap but it will end that spasm quicker than anything.

And by a shot I don't mean fill a shot glass with lite salt, just cover the bottom of a glass. You won't need much
