OK here's the deal -
My little brother has a Creative SB Live! Value card and normally used generic cheap speakers. Yesterday I gave him my old Altec Lansing ADA 310 speakers, and after XP installed the drivers from the CD, I tried to instal the speaker software from the CD, but it oddly said that the pc doesn't support USB devices, which he does. Anyway, there was no sound out of the speakers.
I plugged back the old speakers but there was no sound coming from them as well... I dunno what those Altec drivers or software did..
I tried uninstalling the sound card and reinstalling it but that didn't help..
Any ideas??
