i just reinstall xp on my system, and i downloaded all the latest driver from msi. everything is going well but except after i install my sound drivers, and reboot xp the loading bar that scrolls will pause periodically for about 5 times, so it would scroll then pause scroll then pause. how do i solve this. reinstalling xp didn't help

Can you be more specific? Which sound card? Is Windows actually locking up or just taking a while to boot?

the sound card is the realtek one on board of the motherboard, and while the bar is scrolling through it just pauses for a few seconds and continues then pauses for another few seconds and continues, this process continues for about 5 times
