Weird smell coming from my car

My car seems to emit a weird odor when the engine is running (doesn't seem to happen everytime but I could be wrong) - it kind of smells like that smell after you light some firecrackers or if some rips a nasty one. It's a 04 Accord, 2250 miles on it. Hasn't gone through it's first oil change yet. (Someone else had suggested to me it might be that, just wanted some opinions) And the dealer doesn't do warranty work on Saturdays before anyone suggests that

Nice to see the thread careened off into a discussion about diesel engines 😀

I'll probably have a tech take a look at it at my upcoming oil change then. Some people in that thread it still hasn't gone away. The thing is the smell doesn't filter into the car like it did for everyone else, it's only really "smellable" when you step outside.

reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where the valet had unearthly B.O. and everyone who came in contact w/the car became saturated with it.

You might consider looking under the car. Sometimes a plastic bag can attach itself
to the exhaust system and just cook away for weeks. I've had to cut a line down a couple and unwrap them from cats & pipes. They never seemed to get hot enough to burn they just smolder. Hope thats it.........:sun:
