Weird Router Issue - No Internet

a few days ago, my internet went down out of the blue for no reason. I was in the kitchen, and all of a sudden heard the tell-tale sign of AIM losing its connection. Since then, I've been running without internet in my house.

So far, I've got it narrowed down to the router. If I connect my computer directly to the dsl modem, I get internet access immediately. but once I go back to running it through the router, I lose the connection.

The weird part is that the router itself works fine. My computers on the network can all access eachother, and file shares running flawlessly.

Anyone have any thoughts? I've tried rebooting the router and modem, but no luck.

It looks like your rotuer might not be logging on to your DSL. Check the username and password( i don;t know how they could have changed but check anyway) and also unplug and restart everything. That will reset any MAC address checks and such...

My router has the same problem. The problem is the gateway,, for me at least. What I had to do, was build my own gateway using a slack 9.1 system, then hoooking it up to the switch part of the router.
