Weird results with Duron

I have a Duron 800 (retail) and I've used a conductive pen to seal the L1 bridges. It only runs at 800, 900, 1000 (post, but no windows). Whenever I change the multiplier to 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, or anything with .5, it posts as if I've used a multiplier that is X.0.

e.g. 8.5 X 100 = 850, but I get 800

9.5 X 100 = 950, but I get 900.

What could be the possible causes? I'm running it on a KT7-Raid board. Perhaps I need to seal the bridges more carefully? Thanks a lot in advance.
