Weird registry event on Win2kPro

I just ran a program called registry monitor on my home PC. Those of you who are not familiar with the program, it's an app that monitors the realtime registry activity.


My problem lies in the fact that there's a constant call to what seems to be that I have my microphone muted.

I have a Hercules Game Theater XP external sound card with the 5.12.1.4057 driver version.

The #1332 - 1377 appears every 10 seconds or so. And #1380-1382 just keep scrolling indefinately over and over again.
Does anyone know if this is normal and if not, can it be turned off?

i have a herc 7.1 will take a look at it tommorow and see if it's doin' lots of accessing

ooooohh kay.....
got the exact same thing here. i might try removing all the self starting properties associated with the card in the next day or two just to see what happens.
anyone with an AUDIGY up for trying this ?
there doesn't seem to be a preformance hit from it.
