Weird red shadows on graphics...

I am getting this strange red shadowing all over the place. I took a screen shot, but I'm not sure if you'll see it in there since it's my comp that has the problem... in case... I circled the biggest area in green

I replaced my video card, and that had no effect on it.

Is my monitor toast?

It's a Samsung Syncmaster 997df

Thanks in advance!

hmm, I turned the color temperature of the monitor all the way to the blue side of the spectrum, and that seems to have eliminated the problem...

You mean you ged a small red edge added onto vertical white/black edges?

That'll be a so called "convergence" problem, in simple terms, the 'red beam' doesn't properly line up with green and blue beams. Higher quality monitors let you adjust this from the onscreen menu, cheaper ones just have internal dials for service technicians.
