Weird RAM questions

I ordered some 3200 RAM but I saw a benchmark that was done with 3500 RAM.

Anyway, I ordered CAS2 RAM instead of CAS3 RAM so I'd be able to overclock better if I decided to do that later. But, what happens if you use 3500, 3700, 4000 or 4400 CAS2 RAM? Do you need to change your settings in BIOS in order for them to work? Does it allow you to overclock your CPU the same? Does it really go over 400 MHz if you have a socket 754 motherboard?

Getting CAS2 over CAS3 is not going to help in overclocking, it's more dependent on the stick of ram and how high the RAM can go (as far as clock speed). Raising the clock speed may mean having to reduce the timings just to get it stable.

Using RAM that's rated higher does really mean anything unless you actually run your FSB faster. All it means is that it has the ability to run at 216Mhz, 250Mhz, etc.
