My father has been using Quickbooks 5.0 for Windows for years now. He has been using it to print Invoices for his business.
We have recently installed Windows XP on his system, and now we are getting a strange error in Quickbooks when we go to print the invoices off. So we are stuck and cannot print them. He must however, get them printed by tommorowow. It is essential of this. Here is the exact error message. Please let me know what I should do. Thanks.

"QBW caused a General Protection Fault in module QBWPR.dll at 0001:06E6"

Choose close

THATS WHAT WE GET. How can we get around this or solve this. Anyone else ever get this. Can someone please send me a newer version of Quickbooks, or help me out with what I should do. Thanks!

did you print from the print button or file print.

if we print using the print button it sometimes crashes but if we use file print it works ..

now this is when we are in purchace orders and invoicing

most general protection faults i find can be fixed by overwriting windows (reinstalling over the top of windows while its being run)

hope this helps as QB tech support was crap

What kind of printer drive are you using?
Is this a custom designed invoice?

I would normally think this would be due to the printer drive the program is using to access the preview or print job.

Honestly, though, I doubt Intuit would support the issue, if they have an obsolesence policy like most companies, their support would stop with QB 99.

Do you realize how old that software is?
