Weird question: New case or more RAM?

I know it sounds weird but i've been tempted by the new Fractal Design Define R5 case to replace my CM 690. I love all the features on the Define R5: easy access filters, silent, classy looking.

The other thing is that i'im running 2x4gb of DDR3-1866. Nothing to really complain about and i'm sure I have enough for now. Never felt I was lacking RAM. But i'm not a fan of filling all 4 mem slots on a mobo so the best path would be to buy a new 2x8gb kit.

What would you guys do? 😛

You could try both... buy the new RAM, sell the old sticks, and put that loot towards a new R5!

...but, given one over the other, I'd get the case... unless your system was starving for RAM for some reason.

I've always been function over form (which is why I don't buy Apple products) even though I appreciate design and aesthetics so my vote goes to more RAM. I have also always preferred running two sticks, far easier to overclock as it places less of a load on memory controllers. I have also discovered needs for more than 8GB. Ultimately the choice is up to you, but that RAM is calling your name...

If I don't overclock my RAM can I fill all ram slots and don't worry?

I've had bad experience a while ago on two motherboards that would crash on me when I used more that 2 sticks...

Neither.... get a bigger SSD so you can get more enjoyment out of your system. You won't notice more RAM (as you said, noting is laggy) and the case is pretty but everything will run a little hotter.

Just bought 2x8gb G.Skill DDR3-2133 CL10.
I'll put my current 2x4gb DDR3-1866 in my gf PC that struggles with only 4gb of 1333 RAM.
