Weird question, do you speak better in person or in a text type dialogue

For example, when I word things in an email at work or simply posting here, I feel like my sentences are more structured as opposed to me speaking to another person or persons. When I speak to another person it's very brief and not filled with big words or long sentences. Direct and to the point.

I know it's kind of a weird question and I'll probably get a lot of  type responses.

Far more structured and articulate when typing/writing. Although I'd say I'm a pretty good speaker too. Depends on the situation though.

Text, but that's cheating because you have the luxury of going back over what you are going to say to make sure that it's grammatically correct.

Text. I spend too much time trying to perfect my dialogue(some will argue this point :D) to be very effective with speech.

Just like what other people said, my grammar and sentence structure is better in text, but I feel I can communicate what I want to say better in person.

Always better in writing. I sometimes can't find the words when speaking. I suspect I have a slight form of dislexia.

Text here. Mainly because I have more time to compose the dialog. When speaking you have little time to think unless it's a prepared presentation or something.

I speak better in person, although sometimes told I'm longwinded. No good at typing message, IMO.

text. i can be a little dyslexic IRL, or maybe just lazy. i'm pretty chatty and sociable in person but i have always found it easier to get my points across in written form. i had dreams of becoming a writer of some sort and might still try to put something out there one day.

In text. I have a colleague that can barely write, but can speak incredibly well.

Just about everyone writes, or can write, better than they speak. When you write, you have the opportunity to step back, think about the sentence, write it out, then revise it. When you're speaking, its a one shot deal. Plus, writing implies that it's you alone, so you're not spending any energy reacting to the other person's body language and such as you would in a dialogue.

Well, I tend to trip over my tongue when speaking sometimes, and that's a bit harder to do when typing :p

It depends. My everyday speech is a lot more casual than my typed speech, but if I'm speaking in a formal setting or actually delivering a speech, I'd say I'm most articulate in that setting.
