This happens on 3 different computers in my houes. A laptop and 2 desktops. Ok. So I do an absolute clean install of windows, dont install any programs, not connect to any network or anything. Virus checking doesnt pick up anything. What happens is the Welcome Screen goes, and is replaced by the classic logon with a black background, even though it is set to Welcome Screen. Then when you try to log on, it will accept password and go to the background of the Hills (the windows default) and wait at that for quite a while. When it finally loads, the taskbar will be missing, and alot of services will not work, even my Norton Ghost to revert back to images that I create. This is really really annoying the hell out of me. Does anyone know why? Im thinking maybe some of the programs that I install may have a virus, but 3 different virus checkers (norton, mcafee and pc-cillin) do not pick anything up, even if all3 are updated
