Weird Problems during some gaming

And everytime i kept playing the game, the monitor would just shut off, and you can tell like the system is still running, but the monitor just turned black, this happened once or twice in City of heroes, and a couple times in Doom3(pretty game)....

I am running an Anthlon 64 3000+

Abit kv8 max3 mobo

1gig kingston value ram

74 gig raptor Sata....

Radeon 9600 pro (for now)

ummm and i have a synch master 955df monitor


I never had these problems before i upgraded (like 2 days ago) my computer, so i don't think it's the monitor, any ideas?

Maybe i just have the resolution up too high or something.

I had the same problem actually, with an older rig.. sadly turned out to be a PSU.... I don't know why such weird symptoms, but that's what fixed the problem (upgrading my supply)
