Weird Problem

I have two 6600GTs in SLI and I played with them for a while until the problem happened.
So the story is, at one point I started my computer and when i got into windows, i received a message saying that there wasn't enough power going to the Cards, therefore the chip was modifying its power requirements, etc. now, I have only 6600s and a 3500 AMD 64 with two HDs a DVD-RW and fans. I have a 430 Watt PSU which, according to the my Asus is more than enough for my rig. So i thought, maybe there was a fluke and restarted... but when i restarted, videos and game images were flickering.
I reinstalled the new drivers from nVidia (90s series) and the latest nForce4 drivers. this completely messed up as i wasn't able to enter windows anymore. so i uninstalled and put the videocard drivers back again (90 series again). and everything got ok.
Now, I was playing Rise of Legends and suddenly I get a message that the videocard temperature is over 100oC! Now it was kind of a hot day, so it kinda made sense, so i stopped playing for a while.
then when i got back to playing, at one point the computer just restarted. I figured that maybe the message was there again and i didn't see it, and since i set it to auto-restart, this happened. but when i tried starting a game again, the Flicker was back (same as earlier, only videos like DVDs or Avi weren't affected).

so... this is the story... here are the data

here is an image of said "flicker"

My rig is as this
3500+ AMD Athlon64
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
Windows XP Professional
1 GB Kingston KVR
2x Leadtek 6600GT 128MB
160 and 250gb maxtor diamondmax 9
DVD-RW
and a bunch of accessories (mmm do the USBs take significant power?)

thanks for the help

problem solved... I had hoped it wasn't that but... my older 66GT simply died on me...
I switched the cards, and now everything works fine (except SLI since the old card isn't working)...
