Weird problem

I was doing great, running normal, when all of a sudden I started breathing funny and coughing. By the time I made it to the car, my face felt a bit swollen and my palms started itching really bad. I came home and looked at myself in the mirror and certain parts of my face are red and puffy and some are tender to the touch and my ears are bright red. My arms, neck and face are pretty itchy. Im not coughing or sneezing or anything.

Any ideas why this happened?

allergy, sounds pretty bad too. If it happens again, try taking a benadryl/claritin/whatever before working out, should help considerably. More than likely it was due to a combination of seasonal allergies (pollen is bad right now in many states) and possibly exercise induced allergic reaction.

Sounds like an allergic reaction, might want to be careful of breathing problems especially while running. Might want to go see a doctor and get an allergy test.

Well it completely went away. I run almost every day at the same place in the same way. I'm thinking something might have bitten me. Like I ran through a web and a spider bit me or something. I'm going to run again today. If it happens again I will call a doctor.
