So I bought a new graphics card. It didn't work too well. Contacted EVGA, and they told me the problem was the card was bad.
I then put back my old card in. I can play a directx7 game, but if I run a directx9 game or 3dmark03/3dmark05 the ocmputer crashes...it slowly happens and then just dies...used to take 5-10 minutes, not its down to 1-2 minutes...
the card is an ati 9800xt, i have tried drivers from 7-6 to 7-10 inclusively...
I have updated directx9, just to make sure.
mind, I was playing the same games before that i can't now...
it just boggles my mind that I can play a dirextx7 game and anot a directx9 game...
any thoughts?
