Weird problem with Speakers

My ADA880's and Santa Cruz have been acting weird lately. Everytime someone plugs something into a socket in this room or jumps in here the speakers stop for like 2 secs and then keep playing music. Lately it has been doing it even when someone doesn't jump. It's really weird.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

Sounds like a loose neutral back at the breaker box... Either one of the main lugs or the tie bar...?

huh? lol

I'm not very audio saavy. i can build a computer and tell u all about a computer but when you get into Audio i can't tell you a thing

not anything to do with audio... 🙂 I mean the circut breaker box on your house... It has 2 lines coming into the breaker box and a 3rd one that is the neutral or return path for current... If your unsure or dont know on this just call and electrician and have them check it... Most of the time you may notice other strange things from very poor cordless phone operation (lots of static...) to flickering lights, light bulbs dont seem to last very long, a shock from your dryer or washing machine or even the fridge...?

With loose terminals in the main box or possibly old service wiring (the wiring coming to your house) you get odd things happening to electrical stuff... PC`s really suffer too (can get really crazy problems that you think are hardware related or even software...?)

Hey Bart. Asked about it. Could it happen if there are loose neturals to other recepticals, or would it have to be the one taht my speakers are on?

Thanks for your help 🙂
