Here's a brief overview of problem. I just got a new Canon D1250U USB 2.0 scanner. After I installed in and tried to scan something I would get a scanner error from the scanner software (with any program). It would scan right maybe 1 in 6 times. So I took back the scanner and exchanged it for the new one. Same thing. So it has to be my system. I tried new usb 2.0 drivers, even did an format and nothing worked. Finally as a last ditch effort I set my system to default everything in the BIOS (I was running 185fsb on my KT333 board). The scanner worked fine after I set it to 166fsb (33mhz PCI bus).

I never knew that a scanner could be affected by an overclocked FSB. I know PCI cards can. Anyone know if this is right or have anything similar??

Edit...Also just want to clarify that my system is totally stable at 185fsb. I can run prime95 & 3dmark for days and get no errors
