Weird problem with Norton Ghost 2003 and DVD RW disks

So I formatted a DVD RW to use as a back up (Ghost Image) and ran ghost. After the format, Nero shows 4.7 Gigs available (Or there abouts) but when Ghost writes the image, I get 683 MB on the DVD and then it says it's full. Double checking in windows after the burn confirms this. It shows 683MB used and 0 free on the disk.

What the HELL?

Anyone know what's causing this?

Also, I hear there is a problem with restoring your system on a RAID Array?
Is this true?
Is there a work around?

I partitioned my RAID 0 Array into two separate "DISKS" and now the one I installed XP on is filling up. I want to do a back-up onto a DVD (if possible, if not I could do it to my storage drive) then fdisk the drives and make one large drive, then restore with the Ghost Image.

Any help is much appreciated!

do you have any problems burning other dvd's?

about the raid thing... I ghost from single hard drives onto raid arrays all the time (at least once a week) and have yet to have a problem (at least a problem relating to the raid)

No, other DVD seem to work fine.

The first time I tried this I didn't format the disk first, so I thought THAT was the problem. The second time I made SURE it was formatted to 4.7Gigs, but it still only used 683MB and then said it was full.

I can only assume that Norton see's the DVD as a CDR, but I don't know how I could work around this...

Like I said in the other thread ... check the setting in you Nero or whatever burning software that you use.
