Weird problem after playing Aquanox

So, I decided to try out the Aquanox demo on my system. About half the time while the game was loading the level, the game would revert back to the desktop. So, I was able to play but sometimes it would crash to the desktop.
Now, once it rebooted my system entirely. I'm dual booting WinXP HE and Win98se. When I reached the dual boot screen, I selected WinXP, and the loading screen came up. Then the screen went blank and then the computer started beeping. They were long single beeps about a second apart from each other. I pressed my power button but it wouldn't shut off. I pressed the reset button but all that did was bootup with the DVD and CDRW drive light up for a sec and the beeping continued.

I had to pull the power cord out of the PSU to turn the system off since there is no switch on the PSU. I left it that way for a few minutes. Turned it back on and the same beeping happened. I noticed that on my 8KHA+ board, the lights showed "C1" indicationg that it was detecting the memory. So I went in the BIOS the next time it booted up and increased the voltage of the DIMMs to 2.80. It was 2.70 previously. I booted up again and it worked.

Thing is, I never got this problem playing other games but is it still the overclocking of the CPU the factor?

Here are my specs:
Antec SX630
Epox 8KHA+ KT266a w/ SK-6 & 7300rpm Delta
Athlon XP 1700+ OCed by FSB to 1.6ghz w/ 145FSB
Crucial 512mb PC2100 DDR
Gainward GF3 Ti200 @ 220/500
SB Live! value
ATI TV Wonder

Windows XP Home Edition and Windows 98se
VIA 4.37 drivers
23.12 nvidia drivers

System temps: case approx 28 celsius
cpu approx 45 celsius

Well, it was just the demo.. I don't know but it looked like it screwed my system over for a bit there. I couldn't even boot into the OS for a while.
