Weird Overclocking and Video Thing

I'm having an odd issue on this system:

Sempron 2800 (1.6, 256k)
1gb ddr400
MSI K8N Neo Platinum Edition (Socket 754, nforce 3 250gb)
XFX Geforce 6800 128mb AGP
Okia 600 watt PSU
80gb Seagate SATA drive
XP Pro

Anyways, when I overclock to about 270mhz on the HT generator, the video will fail to initialize. Sometimes, I just get minor artifacting like on the text showing the Video BIOS, but no matter the degree of artifacting, the computer cannot start...It still does POST though.

I've adjusted memory and HT speeds accordingly with my overclock, and my board has AGP/PCI locks and SATA locks and everything. I've tried upping the AGP voltag to i think 1.6 and the core voltage to 1.5 but it doesn't seem to help. What could be causing this?
