Hello!

Well, i'm just want a second opinion for this problem. And sorry for my bad english.

Just installed a new LeadTek 6200TD in my PC. It does have a small fan.

The problem is it makes a weird sound when i turn on my PC, like if it's stuck or something. However, it just lasts near 10 seconds and then everything goes fine. It doesn't make any weird sounds when i'm using Windows or playing a game, just when i turn on the PC.

Just checked with PCWizard, and the PC temperatures are fine, so i don't think it's overheating... i mean, it seems the fan works fine. I also opened the case, and it doesn't seem to have problems with some sort of cables.

I know it's the VideoCard making that sound because, the problem just happened after i installed it. Also it makes a vibration in the part is installed (not in the PSU).

I'm wondering, is this normal? Probably it just works like that. Or even if it's a defective VideoCard fan, it's safe to keep it like that? i mean, it could damage other components?.

Thanks for your help in advance and if you need more info, i will reply.

You can confirm it's your vid card by plugging in another one, such as your old one, to see if the noise goes away.

If so, return or exchange the new card. If it is making noise, the fan is defective, even if it is spinning, now, and it will eventually stop. When that happens, your card will probably fail.
