While scrolling up/down in webpages, or even looking around in games, I get a weird higher-pitched "buzzing" noise coming out of my headphones. Any help would be appreciated, as I'm not sure exactly where the problem would even begin to be located?

ASUS A7N8X Deluxe Rev2.0 (this is the sound I'm using)
AMD Barton 2800+ running at stock speed with a Swiftech MCX462+ HS and Panaflo SHO 80mm
Radeon 9800 Pro AIW
Lite-On DVD/CD-RW Combo
Lite-On CD-ROM
Maxtor 120GB HDD
Generic Floppy (Mitsumi, maybe?)
Zalman MFC Fan Controller
5xLED Case Fans (4x80mm, 1x120mm)
WinXP Pro SP1
Latest Mobo Drivers
Latest Catalyst

Need any more information, just let me know. This is a new system and a new problem that I've experienced. Note that this problem does NOT show up while watching full-motion video (like TV or DVD) but only when scrolling in a webpage or in a 3D game.

Thanks in advance! :)

Hey, thanks for reminding me about that.

It's a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 running through USB.
I've also got a Logitech Elite keyboard running through PS/2.

The drivers that came with the products are the one that are installed on my computer. I haven't updated them from the web at all.

The noise happens whether using the arrow keys on the keyboard, the scroll wheel on the keyboard, the scroll wheel on the mouse, or by clicking on the scroll bar on the webpage itself.

Thanks for a quick response, though! :)

Just thought I would add that I've just tried a different pair of headphones, and I hear it on those as well.

My primary headphones are AIWA HP-X222 and the other pair I tried was Sony MDR-15, if that will make a difference.

i assume you use IE? Make sure it's updated...update sound card drivers....can't think of much more.

Could be inteference from when the usb is in use. If your keyboard is also using usb.

I have the same high-pitched buzzing sound when using my mouse. My hardware is not the same, and I don't use any usb devices. I don't have a solution either. But it must be interference, and I don't think there is much you can do about it.

What PSU ? the scroll mouse uses directdraw part of directx - try re-installing directx+ video driver or try different PSU

I had that problem with my A7N8X. It's very common. I tried every fix I could find, but nothing worked for me. Check the Asus board at AMDMB.. If you do a search you'll find plenty of info on this issue.
