Weird noise coming from my jaw

So my jaw hurt for about a week 2 weeks ago when I was chewing food. Now, it doesn't hurt, but when I chew hard I can sometimes hear it make a whistle/wheeze (up by the ear where the socket is).

Like I said, there's no pain so I really don't want to see a Doctor (I will if I have to), but I'm just wondering if anybody else has experienced this.

Oh, and it's not syphillis or diabetes.

I'd say that would require a trip to the doctor. Pretty serious.

Pain and now weird noises? Sounds like trip to doctor to me.

Sounds like you have a break in your sinus cavity. Could get real nasty, real soon - (brain infection, or going deaf)

So what kinda doctor we talking here? Since you said sinus cavity, ENT?
