Weird MS Word 07 bug

This one is weird. In MS Word if I'm in the home pane, typing text into the document is normal, letters appear as I type them. When I switch to the review pane, for some reason everything slows down and there's a really obnoxious lag between what I type and what's on the screen (like a full word or two behind what i'm typing). This has never happened before until tonight, I don't know what gives. I've got a big paper due in the coming week so the faster I can resolve this annoyance, the better.

Anyone had this happen? Any suggestions? I'm on a Dell XPS m1530 with a C2D and plenty of ram.
 
Is it possible you have change tracking on? Maybe if you had a huge document with a load of changes yet to be accepted it might slow down. Seems to run fine on my pc either way though. Is just that document in question or is it all, was it created as a Word 2003 document and 07 is working in compatibility mode etc....
