My car stereo has a usb port that is capable of playing mp3 and wma files. For the mp3s it can play constant and variable bit rate files up to 320kbps. I used a 16gb flash drive to store the files according to the music genre. I have maybe about 100 songs on the flash drive right now but about 20 or so files won't play. The stereo sees the files and reads the tag info correctly but skips over them when I try to play. The files play fine on the computer.
However if I open the files up in a sound editor and do a simple save as (no processing or any changes) they will now play fine. Also if I burn the original file (not resaved in editor) on a cd or dvd as an mp3 file it will play as well.
