Weird mouse stutter

I just built this system for my dad for some medical imaging stuff, and I'm having a weird problem. Whenever I do something that accesses the hard drives, I get some sort of mouse stutter. It's hard to explain, but it's like the mouse is skipping over to wherever I move it instead of actually moving there.

Are there any documented bugs with the SB700, RaidXPert, drivers, anything like that? This is driving me insane. It doesn't seem to cause lag on anything BUT the mouse. It may be because I'm using my G7 (high poll rate?) while loading apps up before I take it to his office, but I doubt that.

I just started disk defragmenter and started moving the mouse all over the place, and it DIDN'T stutter or lag, but Windows Update did just nag me and tell me it was done doing something...

Any ideas?

OK, after another reinstall/reboot of the RAID drivers, it seems to have stopped happening. I'll chalk it up to Vista being lame.
