Weird mouse problem in WinME...

THe mouse kind of goes haywire when you move it swiftly. It happens with both my PS2 mouse and my logitech optical mouse. I downloaded the latest mouseware, etc, and it still does it. If I move the mouse rapidly side to side, the pointer starts to move vertical or just where ever. Any ideas?
 
mine does that for win2k with my optical intellimouse explorer. i thought my mouse was going to die or something so i checked it with another computer and it worked fine. i also checked it using another os on my computer and it was working also. i suggest a clean install as that is what i am planning on doing.
 
Well, it's happened on 3 clean installs. The only OS I don't have the problem with is 2K. 🙂 I was putting together a computer that I was selling to a friend of mine. I did a clean install of 98 and got the problem. I figured I might as well try another clean install. I did ME and the problem was still there. I couldn't get rid of it, so I just left it as is. Hopefully someone here will have something else to try.
